A special reception honoring the 80th Anniversary of Desmond Doss’ Medal of Honor presentation ceremony on the White House lawn by President Truman.

On the evening before our Desmond Doss Memorial Golf Tournament, on October 12th, at the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center, in downtown Chattanooga, the Desmond Doss Foundation is hosting a reception in the museum at Desmond’s exhibit.

This is an event you’ll not want to miss as we pay respect to Desmond Doss, who on this date, 80 years ago, received his Medal of Honor.

Join us to pay respect to the unlikeliest hero, Desmond Doss, and see how the Desmond Doss Character Development video series, Edusodes, is Carrying Forward Desmond’s Legacy ~ Impacting Youth and Adults Alike.

The following day, Monday, October 13, is the 4th Annual Desmond Doss Memorial Golf Tournament at Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. Located about 30 minutes north of Chattanooga, this Jack Nicklaus golf course layout plays on a peninsula on Chickamauga Lake, which surrounds the property on three sides.

The Desmond Doss Memorial Golf Tournaments (DDMGT) are a vital expression of meeting our initiatives of giving back: Edusodes for the next generations and to our Veterans and 1st Responders.  Please visit our Desmond Doss Memorial Golf Tournament page for all of the details.
