TryHealium
Our Desmond Doss Foundation Board Director of Veterans Affairs, Roger Rustad, has partnered with www.TryHealium, a leading immersive VR wellness platform that is used in veteran-focused programs from the Mayo Clinic to the VA hospitals. The Honor Everywhere programs, which includes virtual experiences such as the WWII Memorial, Vietnam Wall, Korean War Memorial, USS Nimitz, and the National Military Women’s Memorial at the Arlington National Cemetery. The latest addition to this collection is the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, which publicly describes its mission to honor Medal of Honor recipients through immersive exhibits and education. Veterans can travel through Immersive VR to each of these places without leaving their room.
Roger recently filmed the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Immersive 8K 360 VR, including the Desmond Doss exhibit and the Desmond Doss Bridge dedication in October 2025, as part of the Honor Everywhere experience. This addition expands the historic and meaningful VR content available to veterans and others seeking a reflective wellness experience. The Desmond Doss exhibit is the largest exhibit of all the Medal of Honor recipients at the museum and over $1 Million dollars was donated for the Doss exhibit to build a miniature Hacksaw Ridge display that inspires visitors of his courage and bravery.
Through these six military virtual reality immersive experiences, plus an additional 55 additional Immersive VR experiences, that Chaplain Rustad uses in his chaplaincy and hospice settings, Roger continues supporting veterans with spiritually grounded, calming environments, inspiring landscapes, and veterans who are unable to travel can access memorial experiences from home or bedside. This has been proven beneficial to those who suffer with PTSD and is now being used by the VA Hospitals and Clinics.

Thank you to Roger Rustad, our Director of Veterans Affairs for shepherding the application and set-up process for an individual who wants to donate their vehicle to the Desmond Doss Foundation.
CarEasy.org is the entity that handles all the logistics for one to easily and painlessly donate their vehicle. In a nutshell, the cars are picked up, sold and the charity gets a check… it is a 30/70% split after expenses. The DDF receives 70%. It is NOW set up for multiple ways with donation options: Cars, Boats, Planes, Stocks, Real Estate etc.*
